Ellingham Water Ski & Wakeboard Club is a small ‘Not for Profit Members Club’, affiliated to the British Water Ski and Wakeboard (BWSW).
The Club is set on the edge of a 32 acre lake, leased from Wessex Water, near Ringwood in Hampshire. The Club has a very active Disabled Membership and is the centre for ‘Water Skiing for the Disabled’ in the South West of England. The first Saturday of each month is dedicated to teaching people with disabilities to ski, between 9am – 4pm.
At normal times, we cater mainly for our members who enjoy some of the best facilities in the area, we welcome visitors to come and try out any of the many disciplines available to us . We have the only full slalom course within 70 miles, the latest competition standard boats, and, as we run on a not-for-profit basis, we keep skiing as affordable and accessible as possible. As we are not a commercial operation, our sole aim is to encourage all forms of 'behind the boat' water sports. Instruction is given by a fully qualified Water Ski and Wakeboard instructor.
The Club belongs to the members and is run by an elected Committee solely for the benefit of the members. All monies received by the Club from memberships, tow charges or social events go towards the maintenance of the club and its facilities. To prevent excessive queuing there is a cap on total membership numbers.
